2026-2027 LTHS Tennis Team Tryouts Info

Players MUST sign up for tryouts by THURSDAY May 7th, 2026. 

• WHERE: All matches for tryouts will be held at the LTHS Tennis Courts
• WHEN: 4:30PM-8:30PM on Monday May 11th, Thursday May 14th-Friday 15th, Saturday May 16th 8:00AM-4:00PM
• WHAT: Tournament format; parents and players will receive an email sent to the email provided on the tryout sign up sheet with the assigned date and time of their first match by the weekend before tryouts (at the latest). After the first match we will provide the player with the info for their next match. Everyone that is signed up for tryouts will compete in the tournament on the first day of tryouts 
• Please DO NOT be late to your assigned match time. Please make arrangements to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your match time so you can be prepared for when both players are ready & a court is available
• Singles UTR will be used for tournament seeding & creation of draws
• Results in the tryout tournaments will be heavily valued but will NOT be the sole determining factor of who will be on the Varsity, JV Red or JV White teams- the final decisions will be made by the coaching staff.

• Singles UTR cutoff for Tournament Exemption: All players that plan to be part of the team MUST SIGN UP FOR TRYOUTS even if you meet the UTR requirement for exemption from the tournament
• Boys- 7 UTR Girls- 4.25 UTR
• UTR must be at 90-100% reliability as of Saturday, May 9th, 2026: These will be checked and updated on that day in the event that UTR you submit on the tryout form has changed prior to this date
• (Players with ratings above these UTR’s will be exempt from the tryout tournament process but will still be expected to be available for challenge matches during the week of tryouts in order for us to establish a ladder)

IMPORTANT PAPERWORK INFO:

If you were in HS or MS athletics and competed in a sport for the 2025-2026 school year, the physical and completed online Rank One Paperwork on file is valid and you are eligible to tryout. 

Please make note that If you make make any of the LTHS tennis teams you will be required to get another physical and complete Rank One paperwork for the new 2026-2027 school year

IF YOU WERE NOT IN HS OR MS ATHLETICS THIS SCHOOL YEAR YOU MUST GET A PHYSICAL AND COMPLETE THE RANK ONE ONLINE PAPERWORK PRIOR TO TRYOUTS

• All players must have a current physical on file- NO EXCEPTIONS!!  
• All athletic paperwork needs to be turned in through Rank One

Important End of Summer dates to plan ahead for if you make the Varsity Team:

Mandatory Varsity Practices will begin the last week of July 7/27-7/31

We will have practices and compete in several Team tennis matches the next week August 8/3-8/8

JV Practices and Matches will begin at the start of the 2026-2027 School Year
